Investing in Education, Investing in the Future

A recent article in Modern Ghana (see link below) highlights investments made by the Ghanaian government in educational infrastructural development, providing educational materials needed in schools, and capacity building for teachers.  "Speaking at the Nation Building Updates on the theme, 'investing in Education, investing in the future', the Minister of Education (Ghana), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, said the government is committed to transforming the education sector."

Recognizing the importance of education for the future of Kpenoe and it's villagers, the paramount Chief of the Village, Togbe Kotoku XI, provides scholarships in collaboration with Amenyo Foundation to the youth of Kpenoe to obtain apprenticeships and earn degrees at high schools, trade schools, and universities.  This scholarship program has successfully resulted in the development of a wide variety of careers for recipients of the scholarships.
