Amenyo Foundation received a donation of 116 new t-shirts and sweatshirts from American Youth Foundation’s Camp Merrovista in Tuftonboro, NH. These shirts will be taken to Ghana on the next trip and given to those in need in the Kpenoe and Ho areas of the Volta Region. T-shirts are commonly worn in Ghana due to their year round warm climate and will be very much welcomed. The sweatshirts will be useful in the mountainous regions where it is cooler and also by those in warmer areas where their concept of “cold” is quite different from those who live in temperate regions. Amenyo Foundation is grateful for the thoughtfulness of this donation.
Camp Merrovista is one of two camps run by the American Youth Foundation. Their motto is "be my own self, at my very best, all the time!” which is reflected in their camp programs. The camp is located on 600 acres in the beautiful Ossipee Mountains of New Hampshire which enables the camp to offer unique outdoor programs for its campers which help each camper to strive to be his or her very best. Merrovista also offers programs for school and other groups year round.
